Ulugbek Madrasah
Aspiration to knowledge is the responsibility of each Muslim person.
The Madrasah Ulugbek in Bukhara is the only place where you can learn about the ruler and astronomer Ulugbek.
Architects and builders who worked on madrasahs were Gurus in their fields. They were Ismail Isfagani and Najmetdin Bukhari.
Madrasah Ulugbek was built on a right-angled plan form with a well-decorated front entrance and an internal courtyard.
The entrance is divided into two parts by corridors. At the beginning, there is a study room and a mosque at the end. There were rooms in the internal courtyard. They were two-storeyed.
The second floor of the Madrasah was a library with a large collection of books and letters by political leaders.
Both sides of the madrasah were rounded off by flower-bud-type towers.
The arks and walls of the madrasah are not ornately decorated. The ornamentation made of stars and celestial bodies is modest and does not catch the eye.
