Madrasah Abdulaziz Khan
In the 17th century, by order of the emir Abdulaziz-Han, a madrasah with beautiful and rich decoration was erected. It was named in honor of the Ashtarhanid rulers.
Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah represents a double ensemble together with Ulugbek Madrasah.
The entrance to the madrasah has beautiful ornaments in bright yellow.
In addition, ornament embodies carved mosaic, tile, and alabaster fresco, embossed majolica, marble, and gilding.
The walls of the madrasah were painted by the masters of that period. They portrayed birds and dragons, trees and flowers. The diversity of colors and technology of paintings astounds you.
Madrasah Abdullaziz Khan is a great achievement of Middle-Asian architecture and has been entered into the list of World Heritage Sites by Unesco.
