Seyfaddin Boharzi's Mausoleum
Khorezm Sufi Nadjmeddin Kubro was the pupil of Sheikh Seyfaddin Boharzi. He was the founder of a khanaka that brought together followers of the Sufism movement "kubroviya".
By the way, the sheikh was the one who converted Khan of Golden Orda Berk to Islam.
In the 13th century, a mausoleum with a khanaka and a domed hall was erected upon the grave of Seyfaddin Boharzi and named under his name.
Until the 18th century, khanaka was the place for Sufi rituals.
The mausoleum, with strong walls, was very big and included a ziyarathana (commemoration room) and a burial vault. They are topped with various types of domes.
Entrance to the mausoleum was through three-quarter towers that were raised at the corners of the portal. No decorations there. The single decoration of the mausoleum was a gravestone made from wood and built in the 14th century.
