Kulba-Kukaldash

"The pool" is part of Lyabi House, which consists of some madrasahs, and madrasah Kukaldash is one of them. The second name of the madrasah is Kulba-Kukaldash. It was built in the 16th century and it is one of the largest madrasahs in the city.

Madrasah Kukaldash consists of 160 student rooms and has several stairs. By the way, the outstanding writer of Middle-Asia, Sadriddin Ayni, also studied here.

The facade of the Kukaldash Madrasah was decorated with majolica, while the interior was composed of starred plafonds cast from ganj and laid out with bricks.
It is rather narrow and has many different corners and stairs, making it easy to get lost.

Our travel agency, «Orient Mice», provides you with pleasure, transport and expert guides who will show you not only Uzbekistan's cities but also the amazing stories about the architectural monuments of Bukhara.
