The State Museum of Nature of Uzbekistan
The State Museum of Nature of Uzbekistan is one of the oldest scientific and educational institutions in our sunny city. It was established on July 12, 1876, and until now, the museum is under the protection of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan. Museum of Nature has a rich collection of exhibits.
Nature - is the most beautiful and awesome on the planet. Today, the museum is divided into four departments for the study and development of students:
- Department of fauna and flora;
- Scientific and Educational Department;
- Stock Department.
- Department of Geology and Geography;
The museum collection consists of 400 000 items, which includes geological materials, birds and herbarium sheets, insects and animals.
Here you can see young embryos and feel the enormous wingspan of birds, "visit" an oasis in the desert Kyzyl Kum and be involved in the exciting world of ancient people and mammoths. You can see the landscapes of reeds and sand plains, high mountains and fir forests. Nobody has forgotten about our economic wealth that makes it possible to find yourself in the cotton and grain fields.
Researchers have brought t to life a realistic image of the relationship of predators and victims and examined the relationship between natural phenomena.
Another feature is that you have the possibility to get acquainted with these types of insects and plants that are on the verge of extinction or those that would never meet in nature. Only here, in the museum of nature, it is possible to see extinct plants.
The entomological collection of insects in The Museum of Nature is impressed with its diversity and the number of exhibits. By the way, it is one of the largest collections in Central Asia.
