Geological Museum of Uzbekistan, which is located in Tashkent, is considered the only museum of geology in the country. It works because of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic and the Institute of Geology.
In 1937, the Museum of Geology of Uzbekistan was founded.
Today, the archive of the Museum of Geology has more than 32 thousand different exhibits that stand out by their uniqueness and originality.

There are samples of rocks and minerals, petrified trees, decorative vases, clumps of gold veins, and even fossilized shellfish. All the exhibits were collected not only in Uzbekistan, but also brought to Uzbekistan from other parts of the world.
Here collected such mineral samples as arsenic, aluminum, lead, quartz, copper, mercury and bullion, nuggets rocks with crystals rocks.
In the halls of the museum demonstrated evidence of ancient life - remains of mammoths, dinosaurs, invertebrates and plants. There are expositions, which show the historical monuments and modern trends of geological science in Uzbekistan.
