Chor-Su Bazaar
“Chor-Su” is translated as “Old City” and before it has another name – “Eski Juva” that means “Old tower”.
“Chor-Su” was generated in the crossing of four roads in the middle ages and by these days gladdens the consumers with its beautiful buildings and choice of goods.

Just imagine a long time ago, tradespeople, artisans and caravans with camels walked along these roads. Truly impressive?! Yes. Of course, the bazaar was renovated, widened and reconstructed. However, the place remains the same.
Bazaar is located, as it says, at the centre of the historical monuments of Tashkent. Here one can see Jameh Mosque, Khoja Akhrar Madrasah and Kukaldash. They were built in the 16-18 centuries and all together are considered historical architectural complexes.
All products in the Chor-Su bazaar are divided into:

In the handicrafts line, you can be a witness to the knife-making process and observe susane embroidery. The carpet line impresses with its hand works. In addition, national instruments like surnay (Uzbek flute), doyra (Uzbek tambourine), zang and many others are on sale in this line.
