Memorial complex of Imam al-Bukhari
Memorial complex of Imam al-Bukhari is one of memorial monuments, which situated near Samarkand.
In the 19th century, at the head of the grave of Imam, al-Bukhari was built small mausoleum and close to sycamore was located mosque.

In 1998, Samarkand celebrated the anniversary of the Bukhari birth (he would have 1225 years old). It was decided to build a memorial complex of Imam al-Bukhari in honor of this event.
The total leased area of the complex is 10 hectares. Today, the complex includes administrative buildings, mosque and mausoleum. The mausoleum of Imam al-Bukhari easily distinguished from other buildings by its architectural shape in the form of a cube. A seventeen-meter dome in the sky-blue color crowns architectural monument.
The door on the right side of the mausoleum leads down to place of worship. There is the tomb of al Bukhari. The yard can include about 1,500 worshipers. Range of colors shimmers with white and light green.
Behind the mausoleum of Imam Al-Bukhari is a famous educational center named - "Dorus-Hadith." Here are studying the Hadith science.
