Makhdumi Khwarizmi's Mosque

In 1517, Husain Khorazmiy decided to become a pilgrim and went to the historical city of Samarkand, where later he moved all his family.

The place and street where the pilgrim lived were named after Myahtuish Khorazmiy quarter. By the way, to this day, the name of the quarter did not change.

The mosque of Makhdumi Khwarizmi was built in the 19th century. Famous artists such as Abduzahid and Abdugani Latif have worked on this construction.
There is a small house and several student rooms in the courtyard of the Makhdumi Khorazmiy mosque. There were a few graves. However, Makhdumi Khwarizmi was buried in Chomet (he was there on a pilgrimage).

Mosque In contrast to the minaret, Makhdumi Khorazmiy has survived to the present day.For a long time, there was a children's garden. After the reconstruction and renovation, the Makhdumi Khorazmiy mosque was used for its intended purpose.

Our travel agency, "Orient Mice," will be happy to provide you with transport, hotel, and professional guides who will show you not only the city, but also tell you amazing stories about the architectural monuments of Samarkand.
