Matpan-Bay madrasah
In 1905, the Madrasah Matpan-Bay was built in Khiva at the expense of the official Matpanbay-Khan.
The madrasah was constructed under the guidance of two masters: Kalandar Kochima and Khudaibergen Hodge.
From the eye view, the madrassah Matpan-Bay looks symmetrical, except for one detail: in the north-west corner, there was a room missing.

The main facade of Matpan-Bay madrasah has a little portal and arcade niches divided with fuzzy relief.
Today, the Crafts Museum is located in the madrassah. Here are exhibits that demonstrate to visitors tools and other items that reflect the lives of the city's artisans.
Objects that are in the museum are the works of great masters: tanners, gunsmiths, blacksmiths, masons, jewelers, and other artists who lived and worked in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Our travel agency, "Orient Mice," is pleased to provide you with transport and professional guides who will show you not only Uzbekistan's capital, but also tell you amazing stories about the architectural monuments of Khiva.
