Muhammad Amin Khan wanted to decorate the town square of the historic old city of Ichan Kala with a madrassah and a minaret.
However, Khan died and the construction of an architectural monument was not completed.
The legend says that, in fact, the construction was not finished due to the betrayal of the architect. He agreed with the Khan of Bukhara that he would build the highest minaret in Bukhara. Khiva Khan heard of this deal and dropped him from the minaret.
Whatever, the construction stopped at 26m.
Muhammad Aminkhan paid much attention to the scenery of the Kalta Minor. The minaret is decorated with glazed plates. The minaret has no analogues in its beauty in the whole of Central Asia.
