Dorut Tilovat Complex
Dorut Tilovat is a historical monument and part of the historic tour of Uzbekistan as one of the most famous landmarks. It translates as "a house of meditation and contemplation."
The judge, Shamsiddin Kulal, who lived in those days, decided to reconstruct the memorial complex. This judge came from a family of potters. He became very close to the father of Amir Temur, named Taragay, and was considered his mentor.

In 1370, Sheikh died and his burial place was considered one of the main places of worship. At that moment, Shamsiddin Kulal decided to start construction of the complex, which joined several constructions.
The Dorut Tillovat memorial complex includes madrassas, mosques, and tombs. A grandson of Amir Temur — also known as an astronomer and scientist — Ulugbek worked on this project.
On the south side of the complex, a beautiful mausoleum was built. It was called Gumbazi-Seyidan. The memorial complex has a small area. However, all domestic buildings have beautiful and graceful proportions. The mausoleum was decorated with epigraphic patterns and plant and flower carvings.
The name of the mosque was derived because inscriptions that decorated marble tombstones were taken from a cemetery located near Termez Seyidov. It gave the origin of the name of the mosque-Gumbazi-Seyidan (or "Dome of Seyidov").
The historic tour also includes an excursion to the second building of Shamsiddin Kulal-The Ko'k-Gumbaz Mosque, which was built in 1435. It is translated as "blue dome".
The Ko'k-Gumbaz Mosque was built in the pre-Mongol period. At the same time, it has the same construction as the Gumbazi-Seyidan mosque.
The Ko'k-Gumbaz Mosque, after completion of construction, will becomethe cathedral mosque for all Shakhrisabz.
Near the Ko'k-Gumbaz Mosque, an arranged gallery. It has survived only the basis of the construction of these galleries, in the form of squares and pylons, which played the role of supporting arches.
Today, we preserved not only the square base of the galleries, but also the dome construction. Its diameter is equal to 46 meters. By the way, it is larger than the diameter of the dome of the famous Bibi-Khanum Memorial.
Our travel agency, "Orient Mice," is happy to provide you with transport and professional guides who will show you not only the city, but also an amazing story about the architectural monuments of Shahrisabs.
