Karaganda

The city of Karaganda is part of the historic tour of Kazakhstan. From Kazakh, its name translates as "Black Stone". However, there is an alternative name—"Earth, where it grows karagach."

The town grew up around the turn of the 19th century and originally had a very small area.

This was how this little town looked, and only in the 20th to 40th centuries of the last century did it begin to gradually develop.

Small villages are thus slightly connected in the streets and highways.

Since it was decided to build the Irtysh-Karaganda canal, the city has received a new impetus for development and improvement.

You will not find architectural monuments there. Nevertheless, the city attracts tourists with its green, clean streets, small, but at the same time cozy areas, and probably the cheapest silver all over Kazakhstan.

Such hotels as "Constellation", "Seagull" and "Spaceman" always welcome visitors. Here you can relax after a tourist city tour and enjoy a game of billiards.

By the way, the entertainment in the city is all right. In any selection, there are Shady Court, Sauna, Ethnographic Park, and various sports clubs. Despite its small size, there are a lot of cultural centers, parks, and other places for recreation in the city.

In addition, for those who have already gotten into this small but charming town in Kazakhstan, there is the possibility to visit a very interesting and the oldest zoo in the entire Kazakhstan zoo.

Our travel agency, "Orient Mice," is pleased to provide you with transportation and professional guides who will show you the city and take you on a tour of the zoo and ethnographic park, which includes a pair of museums that are located in the center of Karaganda.
