Tour Dushanbe-Hissar Fortress-Dushanbe-Iskandarkul-Dushanbe for 4 days

Today you will go to the fortress of Hisar (VII–XVII centuries), which is 35 km away from the city. There are fortified areas and a citadel on this historical site. The fortress served as the residence of the Emir of Bukhara. Its location was on a high hill, and the gun loopholes protected a 1-meter wall. Inside the fortress, there was a garden, and opposite, there was a lively market with a caravanserai and shops. At the moment, only the main gate with two towers has been preserved. The Madrasa-i Kuhna monument (new school of the 16th–17th centuries), the Makhdumi Azam mosque and mausoleum (16th century) have recently been restored. After the tour, you will return to Dushanbe and visit the Botanical Garden and Victory Square. This square offers a panoramic view of the city. Overnight at the hotel.

You will have an excursion to the high-altitude lake Iskanderkul (2,255 m), located in the Fan Mountains. This place is one of the most fabulously beautiful in Central Asia. The road passes through the Anzob Pass (3,372 m), from where the full beauty of these areas opens. You can walk around the lake and to the waterfall. The road to the waterfall will take about 40 minutes. Tajikistan ranks second in terms of water resources among Central Asian countries. There are more than 1,000 rivers, 2,000 lakes and 8,000 glaciers. You can also sit on the coast and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Night is in a guesthouse.

Today you will return to Dushanbe. On the way, you will cross the Anzob Pass and the Istiqlol Tunnel. On the way, you will be able to see a large number of mountain passes. We will make a couple of stops to capture all the beauty in photos. Dushanbe is not only the capital of Tajikistan, but also its largest city. The name of the city means "Monday" in Tajik. In ancient times, there was a village on the site of the city that was popular for its market on Mondays. Thus, this area received such a name. In 2012, the population of Dushanbe was 1 million people.
Today you will have a tour of the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe. You will be able to learn a lot of interesting things about the city. The tour will begin with a visit to Rudaki Park, the National Library, and the White House. You will be able to see the flagpole with the flag of Tajikistan, the Parliament Building, and the National Park, where you can not only walk, but also take some photos against the background of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the largest national flag in the world. The height of the flagpole is 165 m, the area is 1,800 m, the width is 30 m, and the length is 60 m. The tour will continue with a visit to the Central Museum. Overnight at the hotel.
