Khujand is a city that is over 2,000 years old. He was on the route of the Great Silk Road and, during his history of existence, "saw" many interesting things. Istaravshan was founded by the Persian king Istaravshan Cyrus in the 6th century BC. Istaravshan has experienced periods of decline and prosperity during its existence. It was razed to the ground by Genghis Khan and rebuilt by Amir Timur. Today, Istaravshan is considered a museum city. Travelers on motorcycles, bicycles, and cars get from the Khaburabad Pass to the Ak-Baytal Pass. This trail is considered a very serious test not only for people, but also for transport. The highest point is considered to be 4.655 meters above sea level. On the way from one pass to another, you will pass ancient fortresses, Hindu Kush glaciers, hot springs and a repository of Buddhist relics.
