Muynak

Muynak city always attracts tourists. This city is located on the bank of the famous Aral Sea. Fish plants and fish enterprises have been working here for a long time. In 1890, the first crafts appeared here. During the Great Patriotic War, Muynak Fish Canning Plant supplied many fish products to the rear and front.

The historical tour of the city includes not only an excursion to the old fish plant but also a touristic tour to the city museum of local history, which was built by Dr. Eserkepovym in the 80s.

In the museum collection are pictures that tell us about the history, development of arts and crafts, and the fauna and flora of the Aral Sea.

Today, many people have no idea of what the Aral Sea looked like. However, the series of Matevosyan’s paintings is unique because these pictures can tell visitors about the transformation of the rich Aral Sea into a lifeless desert, which is now called "Aralkum."

Not long ago, at the bottom of the Aral Sea, was discovered a very ancient burial. They are the remains of a mausoleum that was built about 600 years ago.

According to scientists, this unique finding suggests that the Aral Sea had begun to dry before shallowing started.

Our travel agency, "Orient Mice," will be happy to provide you with transport, hotel, and professional guides who will show you not only the city, but also amazing stories about architectural monuments, the history of the Aral Sea, etc.
