Tour Bishkek-Ala Archa-Bishkek-Burana-northern shore of Issyk-Kul-Issyk Kul-Bishkek-Toktogul-Sary Chelek-Arslanbob-Uzgen-Osh-Tashkent for 10 days

Your driver will pick you up at Manas International Airport and accompany you to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, just a 30-minute drive from the airport. The first half of the day is dedicated to a guided tour of Bishkek. It includes visiting Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, the National Philharmonic, and many other places of interest. In the afternoon, we will visit Ala Archa Gorge. It is a natural park. At that time, only V.I.P. people had permission to go for a walk here. The Ala Archa gorge is on a spur of the Tien Shan mountain range. It is just 45 km from Bishkek. You can take a short hiking tour to see a panoramic view of the gorge. Afterwards, we return to Bishkek. This overnight will be in a hotel.

Your guide will pick you up at 8 a.m. and you will be transferred to Issyk Kul Lake, surrounded by the celestial mountains. It’s the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608 m. above sea level). The lake is called the "pearl of Central Asia". Due to the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative qualities. On route to the lake, you will visit Burana Tower (an 11th century minaret) and an open-air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). Your night is in a hotel.

In the morning, we will visit a place where you will see ancient pictures on stones! They are called petroglyphs. These petroglyphs were made more than 2, 000 years ago by shamans. All these stones are still in the same place as they were at that time. From here, you can see a panoramic view of Issyk Kul Lake; people thought they were in the middle of the world.Afterwards, we will drive to Bishkek city. In the afternoon, you will visit our Asian Bazaar, where you will be able to take a lot of dynamic photos of bustling local life. This bazaar is a noisy and colorful tapestry of fabrics, produce, and people selling and buying goods.

In the morning, we start our drive to Toktogul. The road passes through the southern part of Kyrgyzstan. During your transfer, be prepared for amazing views of the impressive mountains and gorges. Today you will see amazing panorama views from the Tue Ashuu pass that is more than 3000 meters high. This road is considered one of the most beautiful in Kyrgyzstan. You will have many photo stops to remember this day. Your night will be in a guesthouse.

Today we will drive to the Sary Chelek lake. It is situated in the center of a national reserve at the foot of the Chatkal mountain range, at an altitude of 1,873 m above sea level. The lake is 234m deep, 2,280m wide and 7,500m long. It appeared as a result of a strong earthquake. Its sweet water is so clear that multicolored stones at the bottom of the lake and darting, timid fish are in full view. Here you can see diverse flora and fauna (300 species of plants, 32 species of trees, 80 types of bushes, 38 species of animals, and 157 species of birds). The Grand Mountains occupy most of the reserve, resting their snow-covered peaks against the sky. The murmuring brooks sound like the endless melody of the mountains. Night is spent in a homestay.

The Sary-Chelek State Reserve was created in 1959. Currently, the territory of the reserve is 23 thousand 868 hectares. Sary-Chelek Lake, which has retained the charm of wildlife, is very popular among travelers and tourists. The translation of "Sary-Chelek" from Kyrgyz is "yellow bowl." The lake received such a name because of its shape, which resembles a deep vessel. In addition, in the autumn, the yellow leaves of trees are reflected in the mirror of Sary-Chelek, and the lake looks like a yellow bowl. If earlier, visitors were allowed to swim and ride a boat, now it is prohibited. This is done for the ecological safety of the lake. Catching fish is also prohibited.

Today we will have to start early in the morning and drive to Arslanbob walnut forest. The road will go along huge mountains, and you will have many photo stops on the way. This road is one of the most popular among travelers. On the way, we will stop near yurts to try the Kyrgyz drink Kumis, fermented mare’s milk. By the evening, you will come to Arslanbob. Arslanbob's grove produces 1500 tonnes of walnuts per year and is the largest single natural source of walnuts in the world. You will have a short walk inside the village and through the walnut forest. You will spend the night in a homestay.

After a night in a home stay, in the morning we will have a walking tour of the Arslanbob walnut forests, covering 11,000 hectares and sometimes called the "Royal Woods of Kyrgyzstan". It is known that nuts from this area were exported along the Great Silk Road in the Middle Ages. Here we can enjoy the wonderful nature and have a hike to a small waterfall. There are many incredible places. You will be able to communicate with the locals. This evening, I'll spend the night in a home stay.

In the morning, we will drive to Osh City. On the way, we will visit Djalal Abad town and its famous Uzgen Tower. This tower was built in the 11th century by the Karakhanids. There are also mausoleums that were used as burial chambers for the leaders. In Osh city, you will have a walk and get to visit a famous and special place—Suleiman Mountain. Suleiman Too (Solomon’s Mountain) is situated in the city center and it is considered a place of pilgrimage for local Muslims because, according to the legend, the biblical prophet Solomon (Suleiman, in the Koran) was buried at the foot of it. Night is in a hotel.
