Burana Tower

Burana Tower is located near Tokmok, which is one of the historic towns in Kyrgyzstan (about 7 km from the city).

This historic and architectural monument was erected in the 9th century and was considered one of the first buildings of that time.

The original height of this sight was 45 meters. Unfortunately, only a part of the minaret was preserved until our days. Today, sight reaches only 24.5 meters high.

In the 15th century, a strong earthquake destroyed the top of the minaret.

Today, the minaret remains a mystery, but archaeologists continue excavation and scientists try to explore the history of this tourist attraction.
