Local inhabitants call this area "Manas Land." Legend has it that the famous state character was born here.
Here was erected a mausoleum for Manas, who was able to survive to the present day.
An eponymous museum was opened in the mausoleum of Manas. The exhibition is devoted to the history of the world-famous epic "Manas". The museum was opened in 1995, when the city celebrated the 1000th anniversary of the legendary epic.
The Manas Mausoleum consists of one room, which was built and decorated in an Asian style. The mausoleum has an octagonal pyramidal and a brick roof which has been preserved perfectly.
In the Talas valley, several mausoleums were erected. Archaeologists have not yet found any records about them, and nobody knows what age they are.
Buildings of nameless mausoleums are preserved well, and as soon as the archaeologists understand to whom they are dedicated and to what age they are, they begin their reconstruction.
The Talas valley is well known throughout the world not only for its unique attractions, but also for the fact that great battles took place in 751 between the Turkesh and the Abbasid Caliphate.
Not far from the town are preserved settlements of ancient man. These are Kurgan Tash, Kulan Sai Sai, and Terek.
In addition, there are a large number of petroglyphs and rock paintings with scenes of hunting, national dances, and animals with birds.
There is also a legendary valley called Besh-Tash, meaning "Five Stones".
