Tour Bishkek-Burana-Kochkor-Lake Son-Kul-33 parrots-Tamga-southern shore of Issyk-Kul-Jeti Oguz-Karakol-northern shore of Issyk-Kul-Bishkek-Tashkent for 6 days

An accompanying guide will meet you at Manas International Airport and escort you to the capital of Kyrgyzstan, just a 30-minute drive from the airport. The first half of the day is devoted to a guided tour of Bishkek. It includes a visit to Victory Square (Victory Square), Oak Park (Oak Park), Ala-Too Central Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic Hall and many other attractions. In the afternoon you will go to Kochkor. On the way to the gorge, you will visit the Burana Tower. It is a minaret dating from the 11th century. You can climb to the top if you want to see the same view that the Silk Road travelers themselves saw. The Burana Tower served as a lighthouse and a resting place for travelers on the Great Silk Road. Nearby you will see an open-air museum of balbals (stone warriors). Night is in a homestay.

After breakfast you will spend some time with a family that will show you the way our national felt carpets are produced. Also you will visit a small handicraft museum there. After we start our drive to the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan – Son Kul Lake. This lake is surrounded by mountains and it is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altitude of 3013 meters above sea level. Kyrgyz nomads started to come to this wonderful area with their families for rest and relaxation. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. After our arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. Dinner and overnight is in nomadic collapsible dwellings – yurts. They are made of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings.

Today you will be transferred to the celestial Issyk Kul Lake, the second largest alpine lake in the world. The lake is called "the pearl of Central Asia". For more than 1 500 years local people considered the lake to be a sacred one. You can come up to the lake and to see mountains all around it. The road will go through 33 parrots pass with a fascinating view. We will have a break in Bokonbaeva village, where we will visit a local eagle-hunter. He hunts hares and foxes with the help of eagles (traditional way of nomads hunting).  Then is transfer to Tamga village. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m. in the homestay, where you will also spend the night.

Today we will drive to Jeti Oguz gorge. It’s famous for its red rocks formations that have a name Seven Bulls – Jeti Oguz. Also you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain. We will make many photos there and if you want it is possible to go on a top of a mountain (20 minutes) to see a panorama view of the gorge! Then we continue our way to Karakol town. You will visit the Dungan mosque. One of its highlights is the fact that It was built in Chinese style without using a single metal nail. This will be followed by the visit of an old wooden Orthodox Church. Night is in a hotel.

Today you will be transferred to Bishkek city. This time we will drive along the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. This is a great chance to see the whole lake from all sights. We will make a short break to give you the opportunity to visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). These petroglyphs were made more than 2 000 years ago by shamans. You can see a panorama view of the Issyk Kul Lake from this place – people were thinking that it was the middle of the world. Night is in a hotel.

In the morning is transfer to airport.
