Kochkor-Ata

Kochkor-Ata is a small town in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan with a population of 17,000 people.

In 1952, a settlement called Kochkor-Ata was founded, and only in 2003 did it become a town.

The village of Kochkor was some sort of rest stop for merchants that passed along the Great Silk Road.

This place is not remarkable for tourists. There are no preserved ancient monuments, and archaeological excavations never took place.

This place is still a transit point for travelers making their way from one city to another in Kyrgyzstan.

You will be able to enjoy the local; we can even say rustic, landscape. You can take a walk around the neighborhood on horseback and relax in the cozy farmhouses.

In addition, you can drop by the craft workshops and listen to traditional Kyrgyz music in the evening.
