Bokonbaevo village

In 1912, Russian immigrants settled a village, which was named Koltcovka. In 1944, the village was renamed Bokonbaevskoe. Djoomart Bokonbaev, poet and playwright.

The village is located at an elevation of 1800 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by thermal baths with the longest waterfall in Kyrgyzstan and a salt lake called the Bowl.
