Tour Ashgabat-Mary-Mary-Mary-Ashgabat-Konefarm-Ashgabat-Darvaza-Ashgabat-Dashoguz-Kunya-Urgench-Dashoguz-Shavat border for 5 days

An accompanying guide will meet you at the Ashgabat International Airport. Today you will visit the Carpet Museum, opened in 1994. The museum houses a large collection of Turkmen carpets from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, including more than 1,000 carpets from the 18th and 19th centuries and one of the largest handmade carpets in the world. Then you will have a walk through the parks. Then you will go to "Nisa”, which was once the capital of the Parthian Empire (included in the UNESCO World Heritage List). Then visit the Jipjak Mosque and the Mausoleum of the late President of Turkmenistan.

In the morning, you will go to the city of Mary. On the way, we will make a stop to visit the ruins of the 15th century Seyit Jamal ad-Din mosque in Annau and Abivard. Abivord, or Abi-ward, was an ancient Sassanid city in modern Turkmenistan. Archaeological excavations in the ancient city of Abivard were carried out in the last century about 8 km west of the Kakhka station on an area of 12,000 m2. The central tell has a height of 60 feet and a diameter of 700 feet. Next, you have planned an excursion with a visit to the glorious Ancient Merv. Ancient Merv is one of the largest archaeological sites in Central Asia and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For over 2,000 years, Merv played an important role in the development of the Great Silk Road. Within the archaeological park, which covers an area of 1200 hectares, we will have the opportunity to explore all the components of the "wandering city". The magnificent mausoleums of Sultanshanjar and Muhammad ibn Zeid from the XII century show off the exquisite Seljuk period brickwork and architectural decor.You will visit the Maria Museum. There is a large collection of Turkmen jewelers, carpets, stuffed animals, a fully decorated yurt, and ceramics from the time of the Mongol occupation. The archaeological section contains artifacts found in both Merv and Margush, including ceramics, weapons, household items, and jewelry. The excellent quality and design of household items from Margiana amaze and compete with the collection of the National Museum in Ashgabat. The skeleton of the Margian priestess was once on display, although a series of deaths and misfortunes among the museum staff convinced them to return the original to where it was found.

After breakfast, you will return to Ashgabat. Then you will go to the Akhal-Teke horse farm. At the horse farm you can see Akhal-Teke horses. This is the pride of the Turkmen people. There are more than 30 beautiful horses on the horse farm. Upon returning to the city, an evening tour awaits you.

After breakfast, you will visit the Ertugrul Gazi Mosque, Lenin Square and the Russian Bazaar, where you can enjoy the beauty of Turkmen carpets and oriental silver jewelry, as well as buy souvenirs. The tour will continue to the Darvaza gas crater. This is the most unique place in Central Asia. At sunset you can enjoy an incredible view of the crater. The crater surprises with its beauty, warmth and peaceful sounds created by this giant furnace.

In the early morning, you will begin a tour of the architectural monuments of Kunya-Urgench, the capital of Khorezm in the X- XII centuries. You will visit the historical park, including the mausoleums of Najm al-Din al-Kubra Khanumtyurabek, Il-Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hajibey, the highest minaret in Central Asia Kutlyktimur. After lunch, you will go to the Turkmen-Uzbek border Dashoguz/Shavat.
