An accompanying guide will meet you at the Ashgabat International Airport. Today is dedicated to a tour of the capital of Turkmenistan, founded in 1881. The city tour includes a visit to the main attraction of the capital for tourists. You will visit parks and monuments, as well as other iconic buildings, such as the Independence Monument and Park (looks like a white marble Eiffel Tower), a monument fountain dedicated to the 10th anniversary of independence (a sculptural image of ten Akhal-Teke horses placed on top of a beautiful fountain) and the impressive Ertogrul Gazi Mosque.

In the morning, you will visit the Old Nisa, which is a UNESCO site, then the Turkmenbashi Mausoleum, Rukhi Mosque, Russian Bazaar, and Ertugrul Mosque. In the afternoon, you will have a trip to Darvaza. The path will pass through the Karakum Desert, and you will see the communities of the Erbent Desert. You will be able to visit the gas crater and enjoy an incredible view of it. The crater surprises with its beauty, warmth, and peaceful sounds created by this giant furnace. After dark, you will return to Ashgabat after dark (slow driving). Overnight at the hotel.

In the morning, you will go to the city of Mary. On the way, we will make a stop to visit the ruins of the 15th century Seyit Jamal ad-Din mosque in Annau and Abivard. Abivord, or Abi-ward, was an ancient Sassanid city in modern Turkmenistan. Archaeological excavations in the ancient city of Abivard were carried out in the last century about 8 km west of the Kakhka station on an area of 12,000 m2. The central tell has a height of 60 feet and a diameter of 700 feet. Next, you have planned an excursion with a visit to the glorious Ancient Merv. Ancient Merv is one of the largest archaeological sites in Central Asia and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For over 2,000 years, Merv played an important role in the development of the Great Silk Road. Within the archaeological park, which covers an area of 1200 hectares, we will have the opportunity to explore all the components of the "wandering city". The magnificent mausoleums of Sultanshanjar and Muhammad ibn Zeid from the XII century show off the exquisite Seljuk period brickwork and architectural decor.

On the morning flight from Mary airport you will fly to Ashgabat (T-5 128, 08:00-08:40). Upon arrival, you will have an excursion to the National Historical and Ethnographic Museum. In the evening, you will take the cable car to the top of Kopetdag Mountain. From there you will have an amazing panoramic view of Ashgabat.
