Uralsk

Uralsk is a very ancient city in Kazakhstan, which is located in the western part. It is included in a historical tour of Kazakhstan, and our guides will be pleased to hold your historical tour.

It was founded in 1613 on the river Yaik (Ural).

Originally, the city was a small settlement in which there was trade between Russia and Central Asia.

Hundreds of caravans passed through Ural settlement, and fruit, silk, and various spices were in high demand.

This settlement has been known since the days of the revolt of Pugachev, and at that time, Ekaterina decided to rename the Yaik settlement in the city of Uralsk.

Gradually, not far from the Ural steel, small Cossack settlements were erected. A company that manufactured guns, swords, and pikes began the construction of small plants in the same city.

In the 20s, there began to be drastic events. The liquorice (licorice) plant was built (which is the only one in the world). The liquorice plant produced chemical powders and medicines.

The city museum of local lore (19th century) was created, which included a tour of the historic Uralsk. It collected a large-scale collection of artifacts. Visitors can be acquainted with the documents about Pugachev and see the weapons and banners of the Yaik Cossacks. As well, there is an exposure from which you will learn about the city's history and how it developed.

Our travel agency, "Orient Mice," is pleased to provide you with transportation and professional guides who will show you Uralsk and tell you its history and how it developed.
