Tour Ashgabat-Horse farm-Old Nisa-Jipjak Mosque-Darvaza-Ashgabat for 2 days

In December 1880, the Fortress of Gokdepe was attacked by the Russians under the command of General Mikhail Skobelev. The siege of Gokdepe lasted twenty-three days, after which the city was taken by storm. The Gokdepe Mosque was built in memory of the defeat. Gokdepe is popular for its mint-turquoise roof and white marble structure. At the horse farm, you can see Akhal-Teke horses. This is the pride of the Turkmen people. There are more than 30 beautiful horses on the horse farm. In the afternoon, you will visit the "Old Nisa"—the Sanctuary of the Parthian Kings. Nisa existed for 600 years and was the capital of the Parthian Empire. She was the greatest enemy of the Roman Empire. At the moment, it is a UNESCO site. The tour will continue with a visit to the Jipjak Mosque and the family mausoleum of the first President of Turkmenistan. You will be able to visit the gas crater and enjoy an incredible view of it. The crater surprises with its beauty, warmth, and peaceful sounds created by this giant furnace. After dark, you will return to Ashgabat after dark (slow driving). Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will have an excursion to the State Historical Museum. The museum is popular for ancient artifacts found during excavations of the settlements of Nisa, Merv and Gonur-depe, a collection of ancient Turkmen carpets, rare samples of national clothing, jewelry and antique weapons. You will be able to see statuettes of Athena, Eros, a silver gilded griffin, ivory vessels in the shape of a horn-rhytons of the Parthian era, gold jewelry, medallions-stamps from Margiana and Buddhist artifacts.
