Astana

Astana was founded in 1824 and, at that time, it was considered a military fortification, which was created in the Russian-Kazakh Karaotkel area. Astana is part of a historical tour of Kazakhstan, and our guides will be glad to conduct a tour of this outstanding city. 

 

At that moment, there were approximately 150 people employed in the small town. They frequently carried out various fairs, including livestock. In 1868, the city became a county seat, where there were already 10.000 people.

In 1955, the town was renamed Tselinograd and became the center of the administrative center of the whole agricultural area.

In 1998, the Republic of Kazakhstan gained independence and Astana became its capital.

During a tour of the historic Astana, you will know that the symbol of the tower is "Baiterek". The height of the tower reaches 105 meters. There is a special observation deck at the height of the 97th meter.
