Not so long ago in Uzbekistan, in the Kyzylkum desert of Navoi region have discovered fossils of dinosaur fragments belonging to members of tyrannosaurs. The most famous representative of this subspecies is the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

A new genus of dinosaur was named Timurlengia euotica, in honor of medieval military leader Tamerlane. According to scientists, Timurlengia lived in the middle of the Cretaceous period, just at the point where the researchers have a big gap in the fossil record.

Timurlengia had a small size of about 13 meters (43 feet) from head to tail and weigh about 200 kg (441 lbs), but had a large brain. Rather, it has helped him evolve into a developed enough mentally and physically tyrannosaurus. Approximate age of the remains is 90 million years.

Throughout the study of the remains found in Uzbekistan, scientists hope to find out how one of the largest predators of the Earth, tyrannosaurus evolved.

Do not miss a chance to see with your own eyes the traces and remains of the oldest creatures in the entire history of the Earth.
