According to the decree of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a complex of tourist-recreational areas of international scale will be created in Muinak area.
The plans include the construction shopping and tourist Moynaq City Center with skating on quadricycles on the bottom of the Aral Sea, as well as medical services such as mud baths in the lakes and treatment with unique minerals of Aral Sea.
It is also planned to hold every year an international eco-festival “The revival of Aral and Muinak” Food Festival “99 fish dishes of the Aral Sea”, etc. In order to attract public attention to the problem of the Aral Sea will be invited such leading channels as National Geographic, Viasat Explore, Animal Planet and “My Planet” for the filming of the local flora and fauna, and local culture.
In the near future, it will begin a full modernization of the objects, including the National History Museum with the latest audio and 3D technology. For illustrative purposes, the special poles will be installed in places where there was once a land and sea borders. The reconstruction touches the main symbol of the Aral Sea, a graveyard of ships. Thus, 11 ships will gain a new look.
It is planned to build a new monument of “Lighthouse Muinak” together with the adjacent cafe, there you will be immersed in the atmosphere of “sound waves” as a symbol of departed sea. In addition, there will be organized excursions to Muinak and the Aral Sea, where people will be able to see the result of the tragedy with their own eyes and listen to the history of these places.
