For a long time, it was believed that the pyramids exist only in Egypt and Mexico. However, a modern find in the Kashkadarya and Samarkand regions can turn our view of history. The found pyramids resemble the pyramids of Giza in Egypt, the only difference is that they are not stepped, but smooth.
The age of the pyramids is 2000-2700 years. In height, these pyramids are 12-16 meters, with a lateral edge of over 40 meters. It’s a great luck that the pyramids are located in hard-to-reach mountain gorges because that is why they managed to survive, and avoid the fate of being disassembled for building material.
This find was not the object of special interest among the public. Although, Central Asia was the home of many ancient and great civilizations, which left behind a large number of ancient monuments. Such cities as Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand popular among tourists are only a small part of the property of our republic. At present, Uzbekistan has over 20,000 ancient monuments, which to this day are not widely known.
